My Story

A Licensed Professional Here to Guide You

After graduating from High School, Courtney became an EMT and enjoyed working as a first responder. While she was passionate about helping everyone during a time of need and crisis, she felt especially drawn to psychiatric patients and the mental health challenges of the other first responders. This inspired Courtney to study psychology throughout her undergraduate and graduate studies programs. In addition to private practice, Courtney has extensive clinical and managerial experience throughout the nonprofit sector of mental health. She has created programs and worked with youth in educational settings (Kindergarten through College) providing counseling services, crisis management and resource stabilization. She has also worked with mental health teams (Therapists, Behavioral Supports, Family Partners, Youth Advocates) to support youth and their families in a Flexible Integrated Treatment program in both a provider and management role. Courtney has completed her 5150 certification in Placer County, and has performed mental health evaluations and provided short term stabilization counseling in local hospital emergency departments and jails. She formed a private practice in 2016 and enjoys working with individuals, couples and families at her office in Rocklin and through Telehealth throughout the state of California. Courtney enjoys advocating for clients, working to reduce the stigma of mental health, and giving back to her profession through speaking at Conferences, published work, and periodically offering educational seminars for free in the community.

In addition to seeing clients in a private practice setting, Courtney works as a Clinical Supervisor at a local non-profit, overseeing trainees and associates seeking licensure as Marriage and Family Therapists or Professional Clinical Counselors. She also works as a consultant for a crisis intervention program based out of Solano County.

Courtney is known for working with clients in a genuine and authentic way, finding creative solutions, accessibility to clients and being in tuned to client needs- both explicit and implicit.

Outside of the office, she loves spending time with her family, horseback riding and traveling/scuba diving.
